When one thinks of America, they picture a young nation. What they don’t know is that people have lived on the American continent for thousands of years. It is believed that tribes have crossed over a land bridge, called Beringia. The three most important ancient American cultures were the Aztec, Maya and Inca. These civilizations were able to adapt to their environments. They even created art that has lasted thousands of years. They weren’t considered advanced, however, their culture is engraved within their artifacts and inventions.
